Building a party that survives Emberfall Saga's mid-game

Emberfall Saga's difficulty spike around chapter five catches a lot of players off guard. We hit it too, and the instinct is to grind a few levels. Resist that. The wall is almost always a composition problem, not a level problem.

The fights that stopped us were the ones where our party couldn't survive long enough to do damage. Swapping one attacker for a support character who could cleanse status effects changed everything. Suddenly fights that felt impossible became routine.

A reliable core we kept coming back to: one durable front-liner to soak hits, one healer, and two flexible damage dealers you rotate based on enemy type. Read the enemy resistances before each major fight — the game tells you, and ignoring it is how you waste turns.

The takeaway is that Emberfall wants you to think, not to grind. Once we accepted that, the whole game got more fun. Losing a fight became a puzzle to solve rather than a sign to farm for an hour.
